Oop it’s a Halloween special for your butts hope you’re ready to be mildly spooked but very entertained. They kick things off with a bit of a false start and hit Murdergrams!!! right off the bat in order to answer listeners’ scary questions. They pick songs that set the mood, discuss tequila sipping, capital punishment, and Goya off the butt. They talk bloodlust and how each Laser deals with opposition before taking a look at hubris and hitting a whole new round of questions that really just raise more questions than they answer. Brittain tells a butt-kicking tale, Mike teaches you how to murder and get away with it and Markings is dead inside. They discuss Aaliyah, Rhythm & Flow on Netflix, synchronicity in couples and the movie Seven to re-examine a long-held belief. They cover scary figures and play an all-around indecent game before choosing a name for the episode and examining exactly why Eminem sucks now. They close out with zombie apocalypse survival, the raiding of Area 51 and last words for the week. Lasers!!

S02E32 is the Fattaloween episode of Lasers on the Ride and Mike welcomes Jay and KC back for the occasion. They kick off by talking the provenance of Canada’s hockey heart and then rank spooky stuff before everyone shares their scariest experiences. Jay shares a bad bank experience and wonders why tellers tend to be pretty before they hit Top of the Hour and pick scary songs. They tell international cockroach stories, talk the nature of fear, and KC tells a spooky tale you’d have to see to believe before Mike hits them both with an ultimatum. Jay recommends a scary movie while KC tries to keep him grounded and they talk celebrities’ haunted stories and then just bad vibes, man. Jay contemplates sex with animals under apocalyptic conditions, they talk the big questions like good and bad and god and stuff and Jay and KC draw self-portraits for us. Episode 50 of Lasers on the Ride, Fully Loaded Clips, closes out Season 1 with a bang/pop/trope. Recorded in front of a live studio audience, the Lasers recap some of their favorite moments from the first 49 episodes and take stock of what worked and what won’t. They play a couple of previously unheard clips from episodes that never were while Jay gets earnest, Akil gets quiet, and Mike gets booed. Finally, they shut stuff down on a high note of personal goals and accomplishments before reluctantly saying goodbye. Thank you to everyone who stuck with us through Season 1 and we look forward to seeing all yall back for next season!

Merry Christmas from Lasers on the Ride!!! The episode kicks off with the introduction of a drinking game and discussions of good and bad presents of yesteryear. The gang discusses the tradition and each Laser’s respective plans for the holiday and then traumatic Christmas experiences from their youth. They broach the rules of secret santa and whether picking your own name and following through with a gift for yourself makes you a sociopath, in which case the Lasers are 2 for 4. They exchange gifts and KC’s mom videochats in and sings Little Drummer Boy for yall before KC drops a Christmas freestyle. They phone some friends to wish them a Merry Christmas and close the shit out with Eazy-E’s Christmas album.

s01e39, Walls Are For Squares, was recorded right outside of the studio, in the great outdoors (of Fattal), full of dog barks and shouting. The episode kicks off pretty abruptly with a pretty petty argument between Akil and Jay about, of all things, coziness (guys it’s crazy) and they debate whose life is worse and who’s gone longer without eating haha. They patch things up and discuss idols before KC talks being stabbed right where they’re sitting and breaks down Haitian food. Akil talks of the time he sat in on Concordia’s hip hop class, Jay drops train riding wisdom, and Mike his masturbation bucket list. They read fanmail for the podcast and talk waterbeds of yore, before a kitty comes up and steals the show.

Because Hillary Clinton is President, the Lasers on the Ride election coverage special, opens up with talk of the process and Mike’s facebook brawl with a racist over #BlackLivesMatter.  They decide to take it to the phone lines and call some folk to predict the outcome and Akil unveils a nutty possibility. Ladies by the name of Trump don’t wanna talk about it, Prairie Dog Junk comes out to play, and ladder matches become pillow fights. The Lasers do the groundwork and discover that random people in the States are Trump supporters and are nonos on abortion. They turn Jumpman into Trumpman (call us, Drake) and explore an alternate reality where Clinton wins and Trump is the ultimate loser.

Happy Halloweenie! In episode 32 of Lasers on the Ride the Lasers discuss spooky racist Donald Trump and his spookier supporters, including that one friend of Akil’s. They talk marriage & cheating and Akil shares some antiquated views on relationships. Jay relays a haunted house experience and the Lasers create Lasers radio. Mike asks the question no one wants to ask or have asked, Akil workshops (in rather poor taste) Pedophilia Paradisia and audio violence breaks out between B Real and Big Boy the disc jockey. Jay closes out with MURRRDDDEEERRRRRR.
